GATS 2008 – Rewarding event and great interaction with members

Midlothian, VA (September 16, 2008) – Even with the transportation industry experiencing tough times, GATS 2008 was a success! While there was a slight decrease in attendance from 2007, event coordinators were very pleased with the levels of attendance. This year the show saw over 500 exhibitors, over 44,000 attendees and secured the Great American Trucking Show as the second- largest trucking industry trade show.

Employees of Getloaded.com had the opportunity to attend this annual event in Dallas, TX and report that it was great having the chance to meet members face to face. “This year at the Great American Trucking Show we had the opportunity to meet a lot of our members and spend some quality time finding out what they liked as well as what they would like to see in the future,” said Dayna Andersen, Training Specialist at Getloaded.com.

Not only did Getloaded.com employees have the opportunity to speak with members, but they were also given the chance to talk with some of the other vendors that play integral roles in the transportation industry. “There are so many different aspects to the business from financing, to maintenance of the equipment, to keeping loads on the truck(s). I really enjoyed the opportunity to speak with other industry professionals and learn more about the roles they play throughout the entire supply chain,” said Bonnie Davis, In-Bound Call Center Supervisor at Getloaded.com.

Once again the Great American Trucking Show lived up to its name and delivered a fantastic event. “It really was a wonderful experience; seeing the great paint jobs on all the show trucks; meeting all the friendly individuals who work in the industry and interacting with our members are all things we truly enjoyed”, said David vanBlaricom, Marketing Manager at Getloaded.com. “We can’t wait to be back next year, and hope to have the opportunity to meet even more of our great members,” says vanBlaricom.
