01 - General Information

General Information about your Getloaded.com account

No, but we do ask that you provide your MC # or US DOT # when you sign up for service at Getloaded.com. Brokers must supply a valid MC #.

No, we have a wide range of brokers, shippers, and third parties who all actively post loads on our website. This results in a wide range of rates on available loads. Keep in mind that rates on almost every load is negotiable and that some companies that have lower rates offer "quick pay" programs which sometimes offset the difference in payment.

Getloaded.com is set up so that Brokers and Shippers can update their account and delete their loads as soon as they are covered. In the event that they cannot access the Internet they can call our Customer Service Center from 8 am - 8 pm EST and have their loads updated. Many companies also send their loads to us electronically and they are updated every 5 to 30 minutes. If none of the above takes place, then the loads are automatically deleted at midnight on the scheduled pickup date. To ensure that you are looking at the most recent postings we recommend using the time filter within the search criteria.

Tip: Post your load/truck then select Match my Load/Truck and enable Hot Match so that your screen will refresh automatically every 2 minutes!

Our services are similar in nature, but each company has its own unique features. Getloaded.com is continually upgrading its service offerings to help our members grow their business. Although we are not familiar with our competitors' fee structures, we strive to keep our fees as low as possible, while maintaining the highest level of service in the industry.

A broker or freight forwarder is identified by an MC # or a FF # on the detailed load information page. All others are shown with the proper classification in the FMCSA lookup field. You can click on the MC number link to go directly to the FMCSA to verify the company's information.

Yes, Getloaded.com is a secure site consisting of both public and private pages. Getloaded.com takes the security of your information very serious. A computer security company routinely performs security checks on the site. We take immediate action whenever the company finds breaches in the security. We strive to meet the highest security standards possible at all times. To verify if a page you are viewing is secure complete the following steps:

1. On any page click on the right mouse button
2. Click on Properties
3. In the middle of the box that appears you will see Address:
* If it is a secure page the address will begin with https.
* If it is a public page the address will begin with http.

MC# stands for Motor Carrier Number. An MC# is assigned by the FMCSA to carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders who have registered and been authorized to operate in interstate commerce. For an MC# to remain active, the entity must maintain the proper levels of insurance or surety bond and keep that information current with the FMCSA.

The "Call" listing under payment amount indicates that the payment on the load is negotiable. Listing the payment amount on a load is optional on our system and if a Broker or Shipper does not have this payment information available then the system defaults to "Call". This generally means that the company who has the load may have an amount that they would like to pay for the load, but are willing to consider other offers.

Tip: Keep in mind even if a payment field is provided that the amount is still negotiable.

If you forget your password simply go to our Password Recovery Page. The system will e-mail your password to the e-mail address you provided when you signed up. There may be several reasons why you are getting little response to your loads postings. First, have you checked what credit score is posted on your account? Many carriers will base their decision to call on a load based on the credit rating of the company. Second, how often do you update the loads on our system? When searching for loads there is an option to only view the loads that were posted within the last 1 or 2 hours. Many of our members make the assumption that if a load has been posted for more than 2 to 4 hours, it has been covered. It is helpful to be sure your postings remain accurate and updated throughout the day. Another problem may be that your loads have incorrectly spelled cities or states in the postings. A carrier will not be able to see your postings if they are not listed correctly. Finally, make sure that the company information you have on file with us is not outdated or incorrect. If a carrier sees the wrong MC number on file with us they cannot check on a company's bond or authority information, which may deter them from contacting you. Also, if your contact information is not correct then they simply are unable to get in touch with you.

To print out a billing statement for your records simply click On "My Account" in the upper right hand corner of your main page and select the Billing Statement Link on the right hand side.

Tip: Your latest charge will be posted here within 24 hours of receipt.

04 - Rate Index

All about the rate index add-on feature

Rate Index is a package add-on for transportation professionals, enabling them to quickly and accurately:

- Negotiate price to complete individual transactions

- Validate and verify lane rates from carriers

- Compare individual company rates against industry averages

- Gauge the marketplace and generate quotes without leaving money on the table

- Train new dispatchers and anyone responsible for pricing decisions by providing access to timely, accurate, and historic data based on verified market conditions

Rate Index is a comprehensive truck rate database providing multi-lane rate information. Its competitive market intelligence delivers the industry average of the market rate on any given lane.

The Rate Index database is compiled based on data supplied by over 100 top truckload carriers representing all major market cities in the United States and Canada. Each rate has a minimum of 2 carriers and 5 loads that comprise the rate information however over 90% of the rates are from a minimum data set comprising 5 carriers and 10 loads.

For each lane pair requested, the following information is provided.
- Weighted Average Rate Per Mile minus any accessorial or fuel charges
- Minimum Rate Per Mile
- Maximum Rate Per Mile
- National Average Fuel Surcharge Per Mile
- Average Accessorial Charges

Rate information is available for the following three truck types:
- Van
- Refrigerated
- Flatbed

Actual rates are provided from major truckload carriers across North America and compiled monthly from current market intelligence. The database is refreshed monthly.

We collect data from a pool of more than 100 carriers. We filter and adjust customer specific rate information that might skew the overall rate index. Filters are used to screen out anomalies to produce an index that is a weighted average on a lane based upon the actual, available data by truck type. This filtering process is done to make certain that one large carrier on any particular lane is not skewing the lane rate data.

The data is compiled at 3 different geographical levels:
- Market level is comprised of 1,188 pods or areas – 3-digit postal codes in the US and Canada.
- Area level is comprised of 115 pods or areas – grouping of 3-digit market level areas in to a regional hub similar to standard metropolitan statistical areas.
- State level is comprised of the 48 continental states.

The carriers are an evenly distributed mix of large and small carriers. This is done on purpose in order NOT to skew the data towards large carriers.

With a pool of 100 carriers moving 2.1 million loads monthly, fleet sizes vary.

No. Seasonality is a measure in the change of price; what we provide is the current price. Seasonality across produce seasons is fairly constant. Pricing is an aggregate of current data. The current rate is the most recent index (up to 1 month old). Customers can apply their own measure of seasonality to current price to determine the best negotiating price, but they will first need what we provide, which is the current price.

No. Carriers negotiate rates based on the entire bid of service. When this rate is negotiated, availability of owner operator trucks is not a factor as when the bids are presented, the day of the week is not present in bid information. Company trucks carry the majority of this freight, and all rates are negotiated with the assumption that trucks are equally available for any load. If a day of the week adjustment is required by the way the customer does business, then this is up to them to adjust, as every company is different, and no specific day of the week adjustment can be made for everyone.

Canadian rates are included in Rate Index if data is available.

Accessorial and fuel surcharge information are provided but are not included in the average rate

The fuel surcharge is the national average, by truck type, of billed fuel surcharges.

05 - Credit Scores

Questions about credit scores

Our credit scores are provided by a company called TransCredit and are updated every month. When a company's score shows as N/A, it generally means that they have just recently created their account with us and have not been included in an update from TransCredit. It may also mean that the company has not been actively using their account and as a result, their score was not detected in the last update. Finally, it may mean that the company is fairly new and TransCredit has not started a credit report on them yet.

Tip: Getloaded.com members receive a discount on detailed credit reports through TransCredit, so be sure to notify them of your Getloaded.com membership!

Credit scores on Getloaded are provided by TransCredit, a well-known credit reporting service. The breakdown of the scores is as follows:

Too new to rate: 0
High risk: 1-39
Increased risk: 40-59
Moderate risk: 60- 79
Lowest risk: 80-100

The major factors used in determining a company's credit score are the number of years in business, the company's credit references, credit history, and their average payment trend in days. Please contact TransCredit at 800-215-8448 for a copy of any credit report. Credit scores on Getloaded.com are updated every 24 hours.

If the information TransCredit has on file is incorrect or outdated, there may not be a credit score shown on your load postings. Please contact TransCredit at 800-215-8448 for a copy of your most recent credit report. We update our credit scores every 24 hours based on the information provided to us by TransCredit, but will adjust a score, at any time, if we receive an updated credit report. If you know that your credit score has changed with TransCredit, please fax the new report to Freight Relations at (804)-744-8394.
